My Beauty Diary 我的美麗日記

Hey guys. So today I decided to go ahead and buy the My Beauty Diary face masks. I found them at Elizabeth Center in New York's Chinatown. There were so many different masks to choose from that I couldn't decide on which to get. Then I saw this limited edition "All in One 紀念版" which includes 15 different masks. Perfect solution! The packaging is really cute.

Geo Angel Brown Circle Lenses

So I recently bought a pair of circle lenses from geoeyecandy.com. I got it in Geo Angel Brown and I LOVE them. They're pretty comfortable once you get used to them even though they are thicker than regular contacts.

The purpose of circle lenses is to give the impression of a larger iris diameter and therefore giving you a "dolly eyed" look. They do this by adding a dark colored ring (usually black) around the outer edge.

As you can see from the picture above, the iris of the eye on the left looks significantly larger than the one on the right.

Warning: For those who are thinking about purchasing circle lenses, it is not recommended for extended wear and by that I mean over 8 hours a day. Since these contacts are thicker, they let less oxygen into the eye.

CoverGirl Lash Blast Waterproof Mascara

I bought this mascara after hearing so many good reviews on YouTube and so I decided to give it a try. I really like this mascara because it does not clump and is also able to hold my curl. The wand was a bit scary at first because it doesn't look like your normal wand. The bristles are made of a rubbery material and tapers at the tip until the bristle becomes a tiny nub. The application of this mascara is pretty smooth and does a pretty good job at lengthening the lashes. Lash Blast is advertised as providing "a blast of lush, volumized lashes" but for me, the volumizing aspect of this mascara is not very good.

At the price of $8.99 at Duane Reade and CVS, I think it is a worthy purchase and I may purchase this again.

Konad and Calgel Nails

I used regular polish for this instead of the "special polish" the website recommended.

Base color: Essie's Tea & Crumpets
Design: Sephora by OPI's Opening Night
Image Plate: m 63

Konad stamping kit was purchased from wowsocool.com

While in Hong Kong, I had to get calgel nails since it's much cheaper there than in NYC. I really like how they came out and I'm planning on getting fill-ins. =)
